Georgia STAND-UP to host Registeration Day Block Party at CAU on 9/17

On September 17, 2024, Georgia STAND-UP will unite with a vast coalition of partners across the country to observe National Voter Registration Day. With the critical November General Election fast approaching, this initiative is more vital than ever. As part of this nationwide effort, Georgia STAND-UP is committed to ensuring that every eligible Georgian has the opportunity to register and prepare to vote.

“National Voter Registration Day is more than just a day on the calendar—it's a call to action,” said Deborah Scott, Chief Executive Officer of Georgia STAND-UP. “Our goal is to empower Georgians by making voter registration as accessible as possible, particularly in communities where access to information and resources may be limited.”

Through a series of targeted events, Georgia STAND-UP will conduct voter registration drives at key public transit locations across Metro Atlanta, including Clark Atlanta University and several MARTA stations. These efforts are designed to maximize convenience and accessibility for residents, streamlining the registration process and providing critical resources to ensure that every voice is heard at the ballot box.
