Vinnie D’Agostino is a multi-instrumentalist located right here in Atlanta. He plays saxes, flutes and clarinets in multiple genres, specializing in the world of jazz. He is a long-time member of Atlanta’s own Jiva, the Joe Gransden Band, and Wabi Sabi. He recently had the honor to both open (Jiva) and close (Joe Gransden) the 48th Atlanta Jazz Festival. Vinnie also leads his own bands, most notably the Sample This! Crew which will be performing at the High. This project brings back the original acid jazz classics that inspired a generation of hip hop via iconic samples. The band includes a who’s who of Atlanta groove masters: Khari Cabral on bass, Che Marshall on drums, Tyrone Jackson on keys, Grant Green Jr on guitar, Emrah Kotan on percussion, and the dynamic powerhouse Lavahi on vocals. The unit focuses on creating special moments through the combination of infectious grooves and positivity.
