Join WCLK on Friday, March 20 from 6pm until 10pm for Friday Jazz at the High. This month's featured musical guest is Sōlful Hornz and is hosted by WCLK's Jamal Ahmad.
In addition to the music, Friday Jazz patrons will get to enjoy the following exhibitions The Lost World: The Art of Minnie Evans and The Family Album of Ralph Eugene Meatyard.
Sōlful Hornz is a dynamic horn ensemble known for delivering high-energy performances that blend jazz, funk, soul, and contemporary groove. The group features a powerful brass lineup—including saxophone, trumpet, and trombone—creating a rich, layered sound that draws from classic horn-driven bands while embracing modern influences.
The ensemble includes accomplished musicians such as saxophonists Nate Myers and Ryan Kilgore, trumpeter Dorran Thigpen, and trombonist Keifer Johnson, who collectively bring a versatile musical background spanning jazz, R&B, and popular music. Their collaborations often extend beyond instrumental work, including projects with vocalists and hip-hop artists, such as the 2025 single “The Light” featuring Dashill Smith.
