Get ready for an unforgettable evening of music, elegance and community as An Elegant Evening of Jazz returns to Spivey Hall on Sunday, October 4 at 5 p.m.
Now in its fourth year, this special concert brings together an impressive lineup of jazz artists for an evening designed to celebrate the power of music while giving back to the community.
The evening features Robin Latimore, returning by popular demand; acclaimed vocalist Lori Williams, also returning by popular demand; Billboard-charting contemporary jazz flutist Ragan Whiteside; and saxophonist Antonio Allen.
Adding an exciting local element to the evening, the Jonesboro High School Jazz Ensemble will welcome guests with live music before the concert. The talented young musicians are preparing for an extraordinary opportunity: an invitation to travel to Pasadena, California, to perform in the Rose Parade® on January 1, 2027. A portion of the proceeds from the evening will help support their journey.
The event also marks 10 years of Life After the Rain Widows & Widowers Ministry, celebrating its commitment to providing hope, encouragement and community for those navigating life after loss. The evening brings together music and purpose, creating an opportunity to honor the past, celebrate the present and invest in the next generation.
Guests are invited to experience an elegant evening featuring outstanding jazz, a red-carpet atmosphere and a celebration of community. VIP guests can also enjoy a pre-concert reception, hors d'oeuvres, beverages and a meet-and-greet with a featured artist.
