Jazz, art, and cultural history come together for an evening of creativity and connection!
Join Jazz 91.9 WCLK on Thursday, November 5, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Clark Atlanta University Art Museum for Art & Jazz, an engaging experience celebrating the intersection of music, visual art, and African American history.
Guests will have the opportunity to explore At The Vanguard: Making and Saving History at HBCUs, an exhibition highlighting the vital role Historically Black Colleges and Universities play in creating, documenting, and preserving African American art, history, and culture.
Presented at Clark Atlanta University, this exhibition honors the legacy of HBCUs as centers of artistic innovation, intellectual achievement, and cultural preservation. It also offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the stories, people, and creative traditions that continue to shape our cultural identity.
Experience an evening where art inspires conversation, jazz sets the mood, and history takes center stage. There will also be light bites, wine, giveaways and more.
