Joe Lovano & Chucho Valdés to play GA State's Rialto Center for the Arts November 13

Joe Lovano and Chucho Valdés"

Jazz icons Joe Lovano & Chucho Valdés kick off the Rialto Center's Jazz Series next month on Sunday, November 13 at 7 p.m. EST.

Valdés and Lovano have shared a record label—legendary Blue Note Records—for years but have never shared a stage until now. Pianist Valdés, winner of numerous Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards, has been a legend in Afro-Cuban jazz for the past 50 years, while “post-Bop” jazz saxophonist (and Grammy Award winner) Lovano has recorded more albums for Blue Note than anyone else. When two fearless innovators like these come together, the combined force of their artistry promises an evening of Afro-Cuban jazz you won’t soon forget.
