#UPFRONT attends Atlanta Premiere of 'The Fate of the Furious'

All eyes were on Atlanta this week for the advanced screening of “The Fate of the Furious.” The red carpet premiere took place at Midtown Atlanta’s SCAD Show and was hosted by the film’s star Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges. He was also joined by his co-star Tyrese as well as close industry friends like “Being Mary Jane” actress Gabrielle Union and “Hit a Lick” actor Lance Gross.

“The Fate of the Furious” reunites the cast—Dwayne Johnson, Vin Diesel, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez—and follows what happens when a mysterious woman (played by Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime and he betrays his family. The film debuts this coming Friday, April 14 and is directed by F. Gary Gray. The film also features music from Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, Migos, Ty Dolla $ign, Pitbull and a host of others.

 

UPFRONT had a chance to chat exclusively with Ludacris about his favorite part of the film and the franchise’s enduring legacy. He also hinted that fans may also get a “Furious” 9 and 10. Click here to listen!
