Check out the new documentary film exhibition, "50 Watts from Noon til Midnight: The Making of WCLK" beginning tomorrow, October 12-23 at the AUC's Robert W. Woodruff Library.
With over 40 years of service, WCLK has grown from a small college radio station covering a few blocks to a major pubic radio station reaching the greater Atlanta metropolitan area and beyond. The station has survived coverage limitations, financial challenges, musical format transitions, listener petitions, and survival of an age of transformational digital technology.
"50 Watts from Noon til Midnight" tells the story of the inception of this cultural legacy. You'll hear from WCLK alumni as they give account of this magical time in history. They share what it meant and how it felt to contribute to the institution and legacy that is WCLK.
"50 Watts from Noon til Midnight: The Making of WCLK" Documentary Film Exhibition is on display at the Robert W. Woodruff Library October 12-23, 2017.
