Check out my exclusive UPFRONT interview with award-winning filmmaker Ayoka Chinzera. The acclaimed director, writer and producer will be receiving the Catalyst Superstar Award during this year's Women Superstars Luncheon at the BronzeLens Film Festival and stopped by to chat about that and much more.
Chinzera is a woman of "firsts" and has been making films and telling our stories since the 1970s. She is one of the first African-American woman animators and one of the first women in film education. She currently serves as the Division Chair for the Arts and the Chair of Art and Visual Culture at Spelman College.
Chenzira most recently directed an episode of OWN's award-winning dramatic series "Queen Sugar."
CONGRATS!!!
