UPFRONT continues our celebration of Women's History Month with amazing one-on-one interviews with dynamic divas in theater, televison and media: Pearl Cleage, April Parker Jones and Paula Gwynn Grant.
Playwright Pearl Cleage returns to the Alliance Theatre this spring with a new production, Angry, Raucous, and Shamelessly Gorgeous. The play stars the great Terry Burrell and focuses on two women from different generations who must make peace with their radically different world. Cleage opens up about the show and her plans to continue her artist in residency at the Alliance.
TV and stage actress April Parker Jones is back as Natalie on Tyler Perry's hit series If Loving You Is Wrong. Season four of the OWN drama debuted this past Tuesday evening and Jones opens up about her popular character and her new role on Supergirl.
Closing out the show is my conversation with WCLK's very own Paula Gwynn Grant. She talks about her extensive career in radio and televison and takes us back down memory lane to her time as producer for BET's Video Soul and creating the hugely popular youth program Teen Summit.
