Check out my most recent edition of UPFRONT Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry. It includes my red carpet coverage of AMAZING GRACE featuring the late, great Aretha Franklin. The film opens nationwide in theaters on April 19 but yours truly got a sneak peek last week.
The highly anticipated documentary takes audiences back in time to the live recording of Franklin's most successful album to date---https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkKOIQwTiKE">AMAZING GRACE. From the rehearsals to the actual taping, audiences get up close and personal with the "Queen of Soul" as she belts out such classic tunes as "Wholy Holy," "Never Grow Old," "How I Got Over" and many more. I also got a chance to chat with gospel greats Byron Cage, Bishop William Murphy and Darlene McCoy regarding the album's influence on their careers.
The second half of the show is my exclusve interview with Emmy-nominated actress, singer and producer Rhonda Ross. She opens up about her new film project and performing at this year Atlanta Jazz Festival with her husband and accomplish pianist Rodney Kendrick. She also opens up about her famous mother Diana Ross, who recently turned 75-years-young and father Motown founder Berry Gordy.
