This weekend's edition of UPFRONT is all about #BlackExcellence. It features my conversations with rising stunt performer Branden Arnold, David Makes Man actress Alana Arenas and entertainment icon and former Miss America Vanessa Williams.
Branden Arnold is a stunt performer on the move! He has appeared in three of Marvel's biggest films - Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther and Avengers: EndGame. He is currently working alongside iconic actor and comedian Eddie Murphy in his latest sequel: Coming2America, which is being filmed right now in Atlanta.
Accomplished stage and TV actress Alana Arenas stopped by UPFRONT to chat about her role as Gloria on the new OWN series David Makes Man. The show focuses on a 14-year-old prodigy named David who is haunted by the death of his closest friend and must choose between the streets or higher education that may offer him a way out. The show comes from the creative mind of Oscar winner Tarrell Alvin McCraney and is executive produced by Michael B. Jordan and Oprah Winfrey.
Award winning TV, film, music and Broadway icon Vanessa Williams is here to chat about her newest film project, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mELLiJrYB5U">Miss Virginia and reveals that she is releasing a new album (featuring jazz) and working on a biopic and mini-series. She also talked about being related to jazz legend Ella Fitzgerald and much, much more.
UPFRONT airs every Saturday morning at 9 a.m. on WCLK 91.9 and is hosted by yours truly Ray Cornelius.
