Actor's Express presents Tarrell Alvin McCraney's drama The Brothers Size now through April 11. TV and stage actor Eric J. Little is directing the show that features an eclectic mix of West African mythology, hip hop, soul and more. Little also opens about the show's message of brotherhood and wanting to belong.
Atlanta-based artist Courtney Brooks is making history this month as the first Curator in Residence for the city's uberly popular Atlanta Beltline. Her exhibition, Journey of a Black Girl debuts this weekend on the newly opened Southside trail and features an array of murals, photos, and multimedia installations. She also opens up about the exhibition's message of empowerment for black girls and women around the world.
UPFRONT also catches up with the cast of BET's new movie, Open. The Cas Sigers-Beedle film explores the subject of open marriages and what happens to a couple when lines are crossed and the relationship is changed forever. Open actors Essence Atkins, Keith Robinson, Jasmine Guy and Nicey Woods all talk about their characters and the much needed discussion about polyamorous relationships in the black community. Open premieres tonight at 8 p.m. on BET and BETHER.
