UPFRONT feat. Radha Blank, Sharronda Williams and Cast of 'Lovecraft Country' (AUDIO)

This week's edition of UPFRONT Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry is all about #BlackGirlMagic. It features playwright and rising filmmaker Radha Blank, the divas of HBO's Lovecraft Country Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Aunjanue Ellis and Wunmi Mosaku and TV and film critic Sharronda Williams.

Playwright and Sundance Film Festival winner Radha Blank is here to chat about her upcoming Netflix dramedy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRpGNnaDzeE">The Forty-Year-Old Version. The story follows Radha as a down-on-her-luck NY playwright, who is desperate for a breakthrough before 40. Reinventing herself as rapper RadhaMUSPrime, she vacillates between the worlds of Hip Hop and theater in order to find her true voice. In our conversation, Radha talks about the inspiration behind the film, her music and much more. The interview is part of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogVnbCkFf3I">AAFCA's Virtual Roundtable Series.

The divas of HBO's breakout series Lovecraft Country are here including Jurnee Smollett-Bell, who opens up about working with show developer Misha Green. Wunmi Mosaku, who plays Ruby, talks about singing on the show and Aunjanue Ellis dishes about the real magic on and off the set with her fabulous co-stars. Next week's show will feature the men of Lovecraft Country----Jonathan Majors and Michael K. Williams.

Closing out the show, is my conversation with Pay or Wait's Sharronda Williams. She will give us a preview of this fall's most highly anticipated TV and films including Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Freedia Got a Gun, Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey, Young Rock and the return of OWN's Queen Sugar
