National Black Arts (NBAF) is excited to present the second Drive-In Film Festival, “Thriller Nights,” a two-day event in partnership with Dad’s Garage beginning tonight at 7 p.m. and Sunday November 1 at 7 p.m.
This film festival is all about Halloween and features horror films created by black indie filmmakers. Attendees will enjoy a fully immersive set design, live DJ and Halloween treats.
The event will also feature a musical performance from Troop Band, NBAF’s Art of Giving 2020 Music Award Winner. Troop is a classically trained opera singer that brings a new sound from Atlanta that mixes Hip Hop with Pop; creating a formula for melodic tunes.
Film Festival goers will also enjoy FREE Halloween “cocktails” with spooky dried ice and sponsored by Curious Elixirs. Black owned food truck vendors will also be in attendance to provide delicious food.
This drive-in film festival is sure to be unique and will provide another venue to help connect the work of black filmmakers to larger audiences and Champion the shared community experience of enjoying moving images on screen. Filmmakers include Raymond Carr, Bobby Huntley, Nakia Stephens, Keef Cross, Tristan McClain, Tortured Genius Films.
