Check out this week's edition of UPFRONT Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry featuring singer-songwriter Lamont Dozier Jr., TV/film critic and author Ronda Penrice and motivational speaker, author and new thought leader Iyanla Vanzant. 

AAFCA member Ronda Penrice is back this week to chat about NatGeo's new five-part-documentary series City So Real. It premiered this past Thursday and is available now on HULU. The film chronicles Chicago's 2019 mayoral race and sheds some light on a number of issues facing the Windy City. Penrice, a Chicago native, talks about her views on the film and some of its parallels to Atlanta, GA. Check out the full conversation below: 

Singer-Songwriter Lamont Dozier Jr. is here to chat about his new EP which features a cover of his father, Lamont Dozier's hit single "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6Ja5zCviiA">Why Can't We Be Lovers" as well as the soul classic, "Hello It's Me." He also chats about his time here in Atlanta, his father's influence over his musical career and his fondest memories of Motown legends - Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross. Life Coach, motivational speaker, and author Iyanla Vanzant is here to chat about the final season of Iyanla: Fix My Lifeairing tonight at 9 p.m. on the Oprah Winfrey Network. Dr. Vanzant also talks about shooting the series in the midst of the Corona Virus pandemic and her biggest challenges. She also opens up about two national issues that she would love to "fix" on a different platform---"The Spirit of Againstness" and "The Truth Surrounding Systemic Racism."  Catch our conversation and snippets from the others below:
