UPFRONT featuring Trina Parks, Ragan Whiteside and Michael Rooks

Check out this week's edition of UPFRONT Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry. It features my conversations with veteran actress and dancer Trina Parks, smooth jazz flutist Ragan Whiteside and High Museum of Art Curator Michael Rooks.

Singer, actress, and dancer Trina Parks is credited as the first African American woman to star in a James Bond film and the first "black female villain" in the film's franchise history. She is here to chat about her https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCo2uqlAi4s">Diamonds Are Forever co-star Sir Sean Connery, who passed away recently at the age of 90.  Ms. Parks also recalls special moments they shared on and off set and much more. She is also writing a book about her life and career in Hollywood and on Broadway.

High Museum of Art Curator Michael Rooks is here to chat about their newest exhibition on the work of abstract artist Julie Mehretu. It is on view now through January 31 and features a myriad of her famous paintings and larger-than-life pieces including Mogamma ( A Painting in Four Parts).

Closing out the show is smooth jazz flutist and vocalist Ragan Whiteside. She is here to chat about her new WCLK music program, Saturday with Ragan Whitesidewhich airs immediately following UPFRONT from 10 am to 2 pm. She also opens up about the inspiration behind her hit single, "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAhG1xQBQTo">JJ's Strut" and her new album, Five Up Top
