#UPFRONT featuring Andra Day, Javicia Leslie and Lisa Johnson Willingham (AUDIO)

This week's edition of UPFRONT Inside the Entertainment Industry is all about #BlackGirlMagic. It features Ailey Extension Director Lisa Johnson Willingham, Batwoman star Javicia Leslie and Golden Globen nominated actress and star of The United States vs. Billie Holiday---Andra Day. 

The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater presents the Ailey Experience Atlanta Virtual Weekendtaking place now through Sunday evening. Fans and dance enthusiasts alike can take part in several virtual classes taught by Alvin Ailey dancers. Ailey Extention director Lisa Johnson Willingham is here to chat about these classes and workshops and what the company's masterpiece Revelations means to her this Black History Month. 

Batwoman star Javicia Leslie is here to chat about what it means to take on the role of the caped crusader. She is the first black actress to play Batwoman and lead a comic book superhero series on American television. Our conversation is part of an AAFCA Virtual Roundtable Discussion featuring Leslie and her Batwoman castmates. Watch the entire interview below: 

Closing out the show is my exclusive with Golden Globe nominee and award winning singer Andra Day. She is here to chat about starring as her music idol Billie Holiday in the new film The United States vs. Billie Holiday. In in our 10-minute interview, the "Rise Up" singer opens up about becoming Lady Day, the magic of hair and makeup, the legendary music of the film and much more. Stay tuned for the video version of the interview which will be posted later on this week. The film debuts on HULU February 26.
