Check out this week's edition of UPFRONT Inside the Entertainment Industry. It features Coming2America stars Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall, ABC Chief Justice Correspondent Pierre Thomas and media personality and author Patrick Riley.
My first segment features the stars of Coming2America---Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall. The iconic film actors are back to chat about their highly anticipated sequel which reunites most of the original cast as well as a few new faces. This conversation was part of an AAFCA Virtual Roundtable Discussion.
ABC News Chief Justice Correspondent Pierre Thomas is here to chat about the network's new six-part series Soul of a Nation. It is the first broadcast network newsmagazine that aims to put Black life in America front and center and presents viewers with a unique window into authentic realities of Black life and dive deeper into this critical moment of racial reckoning. Each episode explores a specific theme, including spirituality, Black joy, activism in sports and the racial reckoning that erupted after George Floyd’s death. Thomas talks about the show's opening segment which featured his conversation with an African American officer who recalls the racist attacked he endured from protesters who stormed the U.S. Capital on January 6.
Closing out the show is my tribute and birthday salute to music icon and founding member of The Supremes---MARY WILSON. She passed away last month before I could record our interview that was scheduled to close out Black History Month. Here to talk about her legendary career and musical legacy is my brother in media, book author, producer and media personality Patrick Riley.
UPFRONT Inside the Entertainment Industry is produced and hosted by yours truly---Ray Cornelius---for WCLK 91.9. The show is recorded from the campus of Clark Atlanta University.
