WCLK Will Be At The Atlanta Business Super Tuesday Conference October 6. Will You?

WCLK will be on hand with our friends and partners with the Atlanta Business League for their annual Super Tuesday Conference on October 6 from 8a-4p at the Hyatt Regency Hotel Downtown.

Kiplyn Primus is joined on The Local Take on WCLK Saturday morning at 7am by ABL Board Chair Milton Jones, Jr, and Membership Vice Chair Tiffany Callaway Ferrell.

What three words describe a conference that is the largest of its kind in the southeast, awards a $5,000 cash prize for the start-up business with the best pitch, and offers  entrepreneurs and business owners innovative seminars and networking to boost their success?

The Atlanta Business League’s 31st annual Super Tuesday Conference is ONE GREAT DAY. The day-long event will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2015, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Hotel, 275 Peachtree St., Atlanta, GA.

“The Atlanta Business League works diligently to ensure that this is truly ONE GREAT DAY for all of our attendees,” said Leona Barr Davenport, president and CEO. “We consistently attract hundreds of African-American women business owners, managers and entrepreneurs to Super Tuesday, and we’re very excited about this year’s theme, Building Your Blueprint: Business. Brand. Bytes.”

The day-long event starts with the 20TH Annual Women of Vision Breakfast, featuring Dr. Jane Smith, Vice President of College Relations, Spelman College, as the keynote speaker and 2015 Inductee into the Women’s Hall of Fame.

Next are seminars to help spark connections, ideas and blueprints for growth, with leaders in several industries sharing their expertise in such areas as How You Can Profit in Hollywood South; Strategies for Negotiating Deals & Contracts; Your Health is Your Wealth; Making Technology Work for You; Opportunities in the Energy Market; and Financial Growth to Get from Here to There.

This year’s Awards Program and Luncheon will maintain ABL tradition by honoring several of Atlanta’s “Firsts”—pioneering women of achievement in various fields—and presenting awards to business leaders for Creative Style, Success Against the Odds, Non-traditional Enterprise, and Outstanding Achievement.

Super Tuesday 2015 culminates with something new—a Pitch Tank competition in which new companies compete for cash prizes, personal mentoring and more from a panel of investment experts. Pitch Tank is presented in partnership with Rodney Sampson, Opportunity Hub founder, author and creator of Kingnomics. Prizes worth some $17,000 in cash and support services will be awarded to the top three competitors. Applications, due Wednesday,  September 30TH, are available at www.atlantabusinessleague.org/pitch

Other Super Tuesday highlights include individual networking sessions with business powerhouses and decision-makers, and the opportunity to have high-quality, professional photographs taken at a special discounted price.
