Your Health Connection Returns Wednesday 6pm For National Prostate Health Month

Molecular Biologists in CCRTD laboratory

Your Health Connection returns for another season on WCLK with a conversation about prostate cancer treatment options, coinciding with National Prostate Health Month. This live, interactive call in program is hosted by JaQuitta Williams, herself a cancer survivor. It is presented for the benefit of the community by the Center For Cancer Research and Therapeutic Development at Clark Atlanta University/CCRTD.

CCRTD is trying to crack the genomic code for prostate cancer, while also training the next generation of molecular biologists. Prostate cancer kills a disproportionate number of African American men, and it's important for you to know the options and realities if this disease touches you or your loved ones. Cancer is no longer a death sentence, but you have to get checked out and take pro-active steps to save your own life.

Wednesday night's program features an expert urologist who treats people with prostate cancer, as well as prostate cancer survivor Rudolph Morgan. JaQuitta and our guests will take your calls, live, Wednesday at 6pm after the SOUL of Jazz.
