CAU School of Social Work Celebrates 95 Years With October 3 Events

The Whitney M. Young, Jr. School of Social Work at Clark Atlanta University presents a celebration of 95 years of educating competent social workers on Saturday, October 3.  The program begins at 9:30AM with a social justice walk around the CAU Campus, followed by two mid-day symposiums focused on “The contributions of HBCUs to the Profession” and “The role of Social Workers in the Struggle for Voting Rights”. The Evening of Elegance Gala caps off the celebration and includes a keynote address by Clark Atlanta University President, Ronald A. CAU Social Work Dean Dr. Dorcas Bowles joined Rob Maynard for a special CAU Now segment on The WCLK Public Affairs Block to discuss Whitney M. Young, Jr., the school that bears his name, and the continuing importance of social workers in our society.
