Shocking Evolution of Youth Homelessness In Georgia

Join Dr. Judi Crocker Billingsley Saturday at 7:30 a.m. on 91.9 WCLK For Dr. Judi, The People's Advocate.  She'll be joined by Dr. Alieizoria Redd for a frank discussion about the problem of homeless youth in Atlanta and Georgia.

Recent data from the Atlanta Children's Shelter shows that close to 60,000 Georgia children and teenagers experience homelessness every year, with nearly half of those under six years old. Dr. Redd has a degree in Psychology from the University of Memphis, and an MSW and a Ph.D in Policy, Planning, Administration and Social Work from Clark Atlanta University. She is licensed as a Clinical Social Worker and some of her areas of research include:  social welfare, commercial sexual exploitation of children,  racial identity, immigration and youth homelessness.  Dr. Redd is the Vice President of Placement Services and Housing for Chris 180. The mission of CHRIS 180 (formerly CHRIS Kids) is to heal children, strengthen families and, build community through mental health counseling, training, providing safe housing and real-world skill building. If children's issues are important to you, please join us for this discussion.
