Recently on The Local Take on WCLK I talked with Yvette Cantrell from BridgeBuilders, Inc. about their upcoming Healthy Aging forum which will focus on the Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat. This event takes place on Saturday, July 29 from 8:30am-2:30pm at the Dennard Conference Center on the campus of Atlanta Technical College 1560 Metropolitan Pkwy SW, Atlanta, GA 30310.
This important event will allow seniors and their care-givers to come together to understand what needs to be done to ensure healthy aging, including annual eye exams. There are several conditions that can impact eyesight and why it is even more important for seniors to keep up annually with their eye health.
After age 50 years, your ears require more maintenence. Cantrell explains what you do and how to respond to these changes.
Cantrell also about how her own eating and lifestyle habits have changed with age. BridgeBuilders is dedicated to helping seniors age in a way that allows them to maintain their independence.
The Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center - South Campus will have professionals on hand to engage with participants.
