April 1-6: AUC Financial Literacy Conference

The Atlanta University Center Consortium will host their 3rd Annual AUC Financial Literacy Conference April 1, 2019 – April 6, 2019. As a partner of the Money Smart Week Campaign and Sparkhouse Initiative, Clark Atlanta University Office of Financial Literacy has committed itself to the annual observance for creating financial awareness through collaborative and collective efforts of organizations, businesses, financial institutions, schools, libraries, government agencies and the media. These groups come together once a year to stress the importance of financial literacy, informing individuals on how they can receive assistance, hear about opportunities, free educational seminars and activities throughout the week.  We are happy to announce that this year we will host our 3rd Annual AUC Financial Literacy Conference April 1, 2019 – April 6, 2019.  The event includes a Financial Address from Chairman John Hope Bryant, who will personally deliver the MEMO on financial capability.  Expect to delight in the Synergy Room a new modern day Fireside Chat with candid discussions given by industry elites from FICO, Merrill Lynch, Incomm, and Fintech Atlanta.  Watch Live Fintech Demonstrations featuring start-up Fintech CEO and mobile app developer, Sheena Allen.  Attend financial education workshops provided Wells Fargo, Regions Bank, North Western Mutual as well as Fintech workshops like Block chain with Chris Jones of Dragonchain, or Digital Branding and Marketing with Tech Village of Atlanta.  Join us for the Overnight Hack-a-thon, The Wolf Den Pitch Competition, amazing technology and Fintech exhibits from Comcast, PNC Bank and much more.  This event will be a pinnacle time for our communities, Atlanta University Center and Historically Black Colleges and Universities as we collectively empower the evolution of financial wealth, entrepreneurship, consumer knowledge and innovation with the advancing industries of Financial Services, Technology and Fintech.  The opportunities are unprecedented especially since this is underrepresented population in the Fintech industry.  These events are free of charge, and open to the larger community. Information about all events is available at sparkhouseauc.com.
