Join me for Jazz Tones, Sunday, July 30 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on WCLK. I'll be joined by Jazzmeia Horn who is the 2015 winner of the Thelonius Monk International Vocal Jazz Competition. Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Jazzmeia has been a rising star in New York performing with Winard Harper, Billy Harper, Bernard Linnette, Johnny O'Neal and Peter Bernstein. She is also a teaching artist at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) Wells Fargo Jazz for Teens Program. A Social Call is her most recent release on Prestige and has been number one on the Jazzweek Charts for two weeks.
