November 3: Regina Carter Quartet at Spivey Hall (AUDIO)

Spivey Hall continues its jazz series with the incomparable Regina Carter Quartet on Saturday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m.

The Los Angeles Times calls her “a talented, charismatic player who is almost singlehandedly reviving interest in the violin as a jazz instrument.” Time Magazine says, “Regina Carter creates music that is wonderfully listenable, probingly intelligent and, at times, breathtakingly daring.”

Joining her for the Spivey Hall performance are Xavier Davis on piano, Ed Howard on Bass and Alvester Garnett on drums. She will also be performing music from her latest project---ELLA: Accentuate the Positive.
