Spivey Hall at Clayton State University presents an evening of jazz with the one and only Warren Wolf this Saturday, March 30 at 7:30 p.m.
Wolf began his career at the tender age of three in Baltimore, MD and learned how to play a variety of instruments from his father including the vibraphone, drums and piano. He has also worked with a who's who list of jazz musicians including the greats like Wynton Marsalis and The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra, Nicholas Payton, Cyrys Chestnut, Mulgrew Miller, Terri Lynn Carrington plus the new faces of jazz - Robert Glasper and Esperanza Spalding.
"No matter how fast and complex his improvisations, there is a clear thread of unfolding melody, spiced with harmonic ingenuity. Wolf is a forceful, even rugged, player...a musician to be reckoned with, no doubt about it..." says The Guardian.
