FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 27: Maxwell with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (VIDEO)

Maxwell will take the stage with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and special guest OkCello at Cadence Bank Amphitheatre at Chastain Park on September 27. Tickets are available now at Ticketmaster and the Woodruff Arts Center box office.

Soul star Maxwell presents "A Night at the Symphony" this fall. His first-ever symphonic show featuring the world-class musicians of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, along with veterans of his longtime band. Maxwell, who is known for his meticulous attention to detail in his music, is re-arranging his songs in collaboration with the ASO.

In regards to this exciting milestone, the iconic musician claims, "Never in my wildest dreams did I think that what started when I was 16 years old would take me to such a prestigious experience, to be on stage with two of the best orchestras around. It's my greatest joy to announce that I will be playing songs from my catalog which I'm re-arranging for your symphonic pleasure."

Maxwell will take the stage with his creative partner Hod David and other members of his band. The Brooklyn native will perform re-imagined orchestral versions of songs from his hit-filled career, including thirteen #1 R&B chart-toppers, ranging from "Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder)" and "Sumthin' Sumthin" to "Pretty Wings" and the recent "Lake by the Ocean."

Concert is rain or shine. This is a NON-Table Concert (coolers and carry-ins are not allowed).
