Rialto Center for the Arts presents 'Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue' on November 6

Rialto Center for the Arts
Trombone Shorty

Georgia State's Rialto Center for the Arts presents beloved New Orleans bandleader, singer, songwriter and horn-blower Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue on Saturday, November 6 at 8:00 p.m.

Born Troy Andrews, he was raised in one of the Tremé's most musical families. He got his name "Trombone Shorty", when he picked up the trombone at age four. By eight, he led his own band in parades, halls and even bars.

In his teens, Andrews played shows abroad with the Neville Brothers, and fresh out of high school, he joined Lenny Kravitz's band. He has even performed at the White House for then President and Mrs. Obama.

This performance promises to be a "funky good time"!
