Jazz 91.9 WCLK celebrated its Gospel roots with an evening of song and praise featuring Kirk Franklin: The Long Live Love Tour along with special guest Koryn Hawthorne at Atlanta Symphony Hall on Friday, July 19 at 8:00 p.m. Rodney Evans, host, Joy in the Morning on Jazz 91.9 WCLK, welcomed attendees. Wendy Williams, general manager, Jazz 91.9 WCLK brought greetings.
Comedian Travele Judon opened the show followed by moving performances by Vocalist Koyrn Hawthorne. Kirk Franklin took to the stage and performed a selection of songs for all of his albums, including classics like Melodies from Heaven and Why We Sing along with songs from his new album, Love Theory.
The Gospel music showcase is part of an exciting year of activities to commemorate and highlight the 45th Anniversary of Jazz 91.9 WCLK as an Atlanta tradition. Click here for benefit concert highlights.
