Rialto Center for the Arts presents AILEY II featuring Juel D. Lane's 'Touch & Agree'

Ailey II will be making its Rialto Center for the Arts premiere on Saturday, October 21 at 8 p.m.

Merging the spirit and energy of the country’s best young dance talent with the passion and creative vision of today’s outstanding choreographers, Ailey II has become universally renowned as one of the world’s finest dance companies. Ailey II continues the legacy of founder Alvin Ailey, delivering pristine performances with dynamic movement and dazzling technique. Dance Magazine calls Ailey II “second to none,” and The New York Times declares, “There’s nothing like an evening spent with Ailey II…” Especially when it’s at the Rialto!

This special performance will also include Atlanta-based dance choreographer Juel D. Lane's "Touch and Agree." The piece is centered around themes of romantic, physical and emotional intimacy, particulary same-sex love. "Touch and Agree" which will also feature music from H.E.R. and the legendary Sam Cooke.  There will also be a pre-show talk with Ailey II Artistic Director, Troy Powell and Rehearsal Director, Fana Fraser at 7 p.m. on Rialto Center Lobby.

Ray Cornelius is one of Atlanta’s newest entertainment writers and media personalities.
