Check out this week's edition of UPFRONT Inside the Entertainment Industry. It features Emmy Award winning actress Uzo Aduba, Early Walker from A&E's Hustle & Tow and film critic and author Ronda Racha Penrice.
Uzu Aduba is taking her career to new heights in the Emmy-winning HBO series, In Treatment. In this new season, Aduba stars as Dr. Brooke Taylor, an empathectic therapist who is tasked with helping three new patients deals with life issues in the midst of the Corona Virus pandemic. Our conversaton about her role was part of a recent AAFCA Virtual Roundtable Discussion.
Chicago Tow Truck Owner Early Walker also talked to UPFRONT about appearing on A&E's new non-scripted series Hustle & Tow. His W&W Towing is just one of eight companies featured on the program and will be appearing in back-to-back episodes this Tuesday, May 18 beginning at 10 p.m. (Not April 18th as mentioned in this morning's show.)
Closing out UPFRONT was my conversation with author, journalist and film critic, Ronda Racha Penrice. She is back to talk about NBC's decision not to air the 2022 Golden Globe Awards due to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's lack of diversity and inclusion. She also opens up about the newest editon to her book, "Black American History for Dummies," which debuts this week.
