#UPFRONT with Uzo Aduba, Early Walker and Ronda Racha Penrice (AUDIO)

Check out this week's edition of UPFRONT Inside the Entertainment Industry. It features Emmy Award winning actress Uzo Aduba, Early Walker from A&E's Hustle & Tow and film critic and author Ronda Racha Penrice. 

Uzu Aduba is taking her career to new heights in the Emmy-winning HBO series, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zMFtA3rAz7o">In Treatment. In this new season, Aduba stars as Dr. Brooke Taylor, an empathectic therapist who is tasked with helping three new patients deals with life issues in the midst of the Corona Virus pandemic. Our conversaton about her role was part of a recent AAFCA Virtual Roundtable Discussion. 

Chicago Tow Truck Owner Early Walker also talked to UPFRONT about appearing on A&E's new non-scripted series Hustle & Tow. His W&W Towing is just one of eight companies featured on the program and will be appearing in back-to-back episodes this Tuesday, May 18 beginning at 10 p.m. (Not April 18th as mentioned in this morning's show.) 

Closing out UPFRONT was my conversation with author, journalist and film critic, Ronda Racha Penrice. She is back to talk about NBC's decision not to air the 2022 Golden Globe Awards due to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's lack of diversity and inclusion. She also opens up about the newest editon to her book, "Black American History for Dummies," which debuts this week. 

 

Ray Cornelius is one of Atlanta’s newest entertainment writers and media personalities. His arts and entertainment website, www.raycornelius.com spotlights the latest in “positive” African-American celebrity news and was established in 2012. Since that time Cornelius has covered a myriad of red carpet premieres, award shows and Atlanta-based films including Tyler Perry’s Temptation, The BronzeLens Film Festival, The Trumpet Awards, and The Steve Harvey’s Neighborhood Awards just to name a few. He has also interviewed a who’s who list of today’s top singers, actors and reality stars. With nearly 20 years of media experience, Cornelius has also worked as an associate producer for the Emmy-winning public affairs program, ATL Insider and with such award shows as The Soul Train Awards, The Trumpet Awards and BET Hip-Hop Awards.
