UPFRONT celebrates the 50th Anniversary of 'Lady Sings the Blues'

Coming up on this week’s edition of UPFRONT Inside the Entertainment Industry. Television, film and stage actress Loren Lott is here to talk about starring in the new CBC series, "The Porter." Inspired by real events and set in the roar of the 1920s, The Porter follows the journeys of an ensemble of characters who hustle, dream, cross borders and pursue their ambitions in the fight for liberation - on and off the railways that crossed North America. Lott plays the feisty showgirl, Lucy Conrad.

Joining us for the last segment is Pop Culture expert Patrick L. Riley. He is back to help pay tribute to the classic Motown film “Lady Sings the Blues," which turns 50-years-old this year and is also playing in select theaters across the country this weekend. Patrick and I dish about our favorite movie scenes and the cultural impact of the film.
