This week's edition of UPFRONT Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry is all about #BlackGirlMagic. It features an exclusive with celebrated children's book author Crystal Swain Bates, TV and film icon Erika Alexander and AAFCA Award winner Aunjanue Ellis along with filmmaker Christine Swanson.

Television star and activist Erika Alexander returns to discuss her new AUDIBLE original series, Finding Tamika, which tells the story of Tamika Huston, a 25-year-old Black woman from Spartanburg, SC who went missing in 2004. The Living Single alum opens up about her new found passion and the urgency to shine a spotlight our "black and missing."

Popular children’s book author Crystal Swain Bates is here to talk about her recent appearance on the TNT docuseries, The Game Plan with Shaquille O'Neal. The show highlights inspirational stories about Atlanta-based entrepreneurs with guidance from O'Neal and his celebrity friends. Bates also talks about the importance of positive black imagery and much more.

And finally, we continue our Salute to Women’s History Month (WHM) with television and film star Aunjanue Ellis. The AAFCA Award winner is here along with filmmaker, Christine Swanson to chat about their newest project saluting Civil Rights heroine---Fannie Lou Hamer. This conversation was part of a recent AAFCA Roundtable Discussion.
