UPFRONT with NatGeo's Critter Fixers, ComfiArt's Dionna Collins and The Light's Cynthia D. Barker and Enoch King

This week's edition of UPFRONT Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry features the stars from NatGeo's Critter Fixers - Dr. Terrence Ferguson and Dr. Vernard Hodges. We also go behind-the-scenes of Horizon Theatre’s new production of The Light with actors Cynthia D. Barker and Enoch King. And we conclude our salute to Women’s History Month (WHM) with artreprenuer Dionna Collins from ComfiArt.

My first segment features veterinarians Terrence Ferguson and Vernard Hodges … better Known as the Critter Fixers. The dynamic duo from South Georgia are back for a third season on the popular Nat Geo series and are here to chat with me about what's new and their community initiatives to help increase the number of black veterinarians.

My second segment features artreprenuer Dionna Collins. She is the founder and CEO of ComfiArt, the one stop shop that serves as a resource hub for BIPOC artists and individuals in the creative space. ComfiArt hosts workshops for artists in the areas of finance, business modeling, contract negotiations, B2B sales, e-commerce, legal services, marketing, and branding.

Closing out the show are Cynthia D. Barker and Enoch King, stars of Horizon Theatre's new production, The Light. A surprise marriage proposal takes an unexpected turn that upends the world of Genesis (Cynthia) and Rashad (Enoch), forcing them to confront secrets from the past. The Light is a roller coaster journey of laughter, romance and reckoning that unfolds in real time, peeling away layers of truth, doubt, pain and ultimately, the power of love. Cynthia and Enoch open up about their characters and how the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped their performances.
