UPFRONT talks to CAU Art Museum about 'Our Friend Jean Exhibition' and more

Check out the most recent edition of UPFRONT/Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry.

It features a conversation with the creative team behind Louis Armstrong’s Black & Bluesdocumentary. The new Apple Original Documentary offers an intimate and revealing look at the world-changing musician, presented through a lens of archival footage and never-before-heard home recordings and personal conversations. Black & Blues honors Armstrong's legacy as a founding father of jazz, America’s first pop music star and cultural ambassador. Black & Blues Director, Sacha Jenkins and producer Justin Wilkes are here to chat about the project and more.

In the second half of the show, Ray Cornelius goes behind-the-scenes of the CAU Art Museum Jean Michel-Basquiat exhibition, Our Friend Jean. The exciting new show features early works from several collectors who knew him intimately including drawings, writings, mixed media collages and apparel. Here to chat about the show is the interim director Dr. Danille Taylor and co-presenter sponsor Stevenson Dunn Jr, from New York’s Bishop's Gallery.

UPFRONT/Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry is hosted and produced by Ray Cornelius for Jazz 91.9 WCLK. It is recorded from the campus of Clark Atlanta University. It also airs on SiriusXM Tuesdays-Thursdays-Fridays at 6:30pm EST on HBCU Channel 142.
