UPFRONT celebrates 20 Years with True Colors + Former Roc Nation Music President Benny Pough

Check out the most recent edition of UPFRONT/Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry. Host Ray Cornelius celebrates Atlanta’s very own True Colors Theatre Company on their 20th Anniversary. The landmark theatre company was founded in 2002 by Tony Award Winning Director and Broadway phenom Kenny Leon and the late Jane Bishop.
TC Artistic Director Jamil Jude and Managing Director Chandra Stephens-Albright talk candidly about the theatre's Cabaret Fundraiser, which featured special performances from some of their past productions. They also talked about their highly anticipated August Wilson Monologue Competition and upcoming Community Concert. And in the second half of the show, Ray catches up with legendary music executive Benny Pough. The former Roc Nation Music President is here to chat about is first memoir titled ON IMPACT: Life, Leadership and Betting On Yourself. With ON IMPACT, Pough is poised to inspire others by sharing truths that guided him through years of unparalleled success - from intern to CEO. The unique collection of stories reveals the experiences which shaped him—from his business career’s humble beginning as an 11-year-old paperboy, to being scouted on a comedy club stage by a Motown executive, to sitting in the most coveted seats in the music industry. Pough takes readers on a journey; from the plateaus of rising through leadership ranks, to the valleys of overcoming the near-death car crash which almost took everything away. Pough also talked with Ray about his forthcoming It's Your Time Conference and more.
