Check out this week's edition of UPFRONT/Inside the Entertainment industry. We’re talking exclusively to Oscar-winning stage, television, and film actor Louis Gossett Jr. He will be honored in Atlanta on Sunday, August 20 by The James M. Dixon Foundation with this year’s President’s Award.
The James M. Dixon Foundation is an Atlanta-based non-profit organization that provides funding for many areas of Alzheimer’s and Dementia related diseases, research, as well as support for Caregivers of adults with Alzheimer’s and related Dementia through its mindful caring project. The President’s Award is given to a person or organization at the sole discretion of The President, when their area of impact aligns with the purpose of The Purple Affairand the mission of the Foundation.
Mr. Gossett will talk about receiving this honor as well as his own battle with Alzheimer and Dementia and his message of hope.
