I’m going behind-the-scenes of The Color Purplewith the film’s director Blitz Bazawule. This re-imagining of the Broadway musical has earned 5 Critics Choice Nominations and two Golden Globe nominations for Fantasia and Danielle Brooks.

In the second segment, I’m catching up with the men of RUSTIN. Actors Colman Domingo, Glynn Turman, Michael Pots and Aml Ameen are here to chat about their landmark performances and more. The film earned two Critics Choice Award nominations and two Golden Globe nominations for Colman’s lead performance and Lenny Kravitz for “Best Original Song”.

And we’re closing out the show with the creative team behind American Fiction. Director Cord Jefferson and Producer Jermaine Johnson are here to talk about the film which picked up Five Critics Choice Award nominations and two Golden Globes nominations including “Best Motion Picture” and “Best Performance by an Actor” for Jeffrey Wright.
