Host, Ray Cornelius chats with the women of "THE WASH." It’s the new theatrical production about the Atlanta Washerwomen strike of 1881. The dramedy tells the story of how African American women began the strike and how it garnered the support of the whole community. And in the second part of the show, Ray talks to WCLK’s Jamal Ahmad and FunkJazz Kafé creator Jason Orr about their new documentary "Stepping Into Tomorrow" (The Story of Jazz Funk Fusion and the Music That Changed the World.) The film will debut at the upcoming FunkJazz Kafé Art and Music Festival on Saturday, August 3 at The Ray Charles Performing Arts Center.
