This week on The Local Take I speak with Wendy Ely Jackson and Maynard Jackson III about Auburn Avenue Films and the launch of their documentary MAYNARD. Maynard Jackson III explains that he woke up one day and thought about the story of his father. Noting his wife had over 25 years experience in the film industry, he realized that the story would be told via film.

Saturday, April 21 on The Local Take on  Jazz 91.9 WCLK, I spoke with Lolita Jackson about the Camellia Rose Links presenting the documentary film MAYNARD at a fundraiser for graduates of Maynard Jackson High School.   The Camellia Rose Links invites everyone to join them for the screening of MAYNARD at the Carter Center on  Saturday, April 28 at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.  Each screening will be followed by a panel discussion features people who knew and worked with Maynard Jackson.
