Drummer extraordinaire Lil John Roberts is teaming up with vocalist and actor Chae Stephen for this year's Late Night Jazz Concert. The event takes place during the Atlanta Jazz Festival on Saturday, May 28 at 10 pm at Piedmont's Park Tavern.
The evening, curated by Roberts, is a musical tribute to Motown legend—-Marvin Gaye. Stephen will provide the sultry, sexy vocals and has been performing Gaye's music for quite some time in the traveling production, Pride and Joy: The Marvin Gaye Musical.
Lil John Roberts is an Atlanta staple and one of the most sought after drummers in the music industry. He has performed on stages with some of the biggest names in music history including Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones, George Duke, Dianne Reeves, Patti LaBelle, Queen Latifah, Yolanda Adams, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, BeBe and CeCe Winans and many others.
