NOVEMBER 18: Friday Jazz at the High presents Vinnie D’Agostino
Friday Jazz at the High continues with great music on Friday, November 18 from 6 to 10 pm with multi-instrumentalist Vinnie D'Agostino. WCLK's Jamal Ahmad will be hosting the show.
Curated by Vinnie, the event will feature two musical areas where musicians will play throughout the evening, layering notes and improvising melodies. In addition to the great music, Friday Jazz patrons will also get to enjoy the Deana Lawson Exhibition.
Vinnie D'Agostino is an Atlanta-based instrumentalist that plays saxophone, clarinet and flute. He is an experienced musician across genres, having performed and recorded in the worlds of classical, jazz, pop, rock, funk, soul, and more. He has performed with several greats in the music industry, including The Coasters, Little Anthony, The Temptations, The Box Tops, The Tokens, The Dixie Cups, The Crystals, Fabian, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Cab Calloway, Bernard Purdie, Randy Brecker, Tierney Sutton, New York Voices, and Grant Green Jr.; as opener for Michael Feinstein, Lee Greenwood, Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra Jr., Michael Bolton, Brian Wilson, and Aretha Franklin; and with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Georgia Philharmonic.
