New Music On WCLK: Charles Langford-I Told You So

If you’re looking for an upbeat Jazz tune to get you through a mid-day mind fog, then I Told You So by Charles Langford is your way to go. Produced by Grammy-nominated producer and songwriter Michael Broening, I Told You So is covered in an infectious uptempo groove that will no doubt motivate you to move. A favorite moment from this track is where an incredibly funky bassline and stack of rhythm guitars blend smoothly as Langford’s sax glides effortlessly through like butter melting on hot toast. I mean, you should expect nothing less from someone who has worked with a legendary roster that includes The Toni Lynn Washington Blues Band, Norman Connors and The Temptations. Charles Langford is making it known that he is here to stay.

Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, Alton “Plaxico” Brown is a senior Mass Media Arts Major at Clark Atlanta University and a dedicated student of all things music. Growing up, Plaxico was surrounded by a diverse and eclectic mix of musical genres which influenced not only his appetite for discovering new music but his appreciation for the art of storytelling in music. While teaching himself to play drums and guitar by ear, he also has a knack for screenwriting and making beats. As Plaxico continues to grow his musical knowledge, he also aspires to grow in his creativity, here at WCLK.
