MAY 22: Miles Electric Band featuring Keyon Harold at ASO

Kick off Memorial Day Weekend with the Atlanta Jazz Festival and a one-of-a-kind musical experience honoring the legacy of jazz icon Miles Davis. The Miles Electric Band (M.E.B.) takes the stage at Atlanta Symphony Hall on Friday, May 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Founded in 2010 by Emmy and Grammy Award-winning producer and drummer Vince Wilburn Jr., M.E.B. continues the bold, genre-defying spirit of Miles Davis’ electric era. Featuring a dynamic collective of Miles Davis alumni alongside today’s leading jazz innovators, the ensemble has performed on major stages and festivals around the world for more than a decade.

M.E.B.’s latest release, That You Not Dare To Forget (Sony Legacy Recordings), co-produced by Lenny White and Vince Wilburn Jr., offers previously unreleased recordings and rare trumpet performances from Miles Davis himself. The project features an all-star lineup including Ron Carter, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, Donald Harrison, Darryl Jones, Vernon Reid, and John Scofield.

The touring lineup for this special centennial celebration includes Vince Wilburn Jr. (drums), Darryl Jones (bass), Robert Irving III (keyboards), Jean-Paul Bourelly, Mino Cinelu, Keyon Harrold, DJ Logic, and more—bringing together generations of talent to honor and expand upon the Miles Davis sound.
