Programming on Jazz 91.9 WCLK is made possible in part by The Atlanta Opera, presenting George and Ira Gershwin's Porgy and Bess. This classic American opera features such timeless songs as Summertime, I Got Plenty O' Nuttin', and It Ain't Necessarily So. This work features an African American ensemble performing the story of Porgy and Bess seeking harmony in the face of addictions and social injustice.
