The Local Take: Jasmine Guy Joins Forces with ACRB To Encourage You To Report Bad Police Behavior
While APD has a better reputation in the community than many forces across the country, a vigilant public must still 'watch the watchmen.' Saturday morning at 7am on The Local Take on WCLK, I'll talk with Lee Reid of the Atlanta Citizen Review Board and Jasmine Guy about the ACRB's launch of the "Nobody Needs to Know Campaign" allowing citizens to anonymously lodge complaints or concerns about police officers that they encounter or observe.
The celebrity spokesperson for this campaign is Atlanta's own Jasmine Guy. She speaks to how she came to support the Atlanta Citizen Review Board and why this option is so important. In the past to file a complaint you had to sign your name, which discouraged many people from participating. The new initiative allows you to call 404-865-8622 and speak with a representative anonymously.
The City of Atlanta is committed to receiving additional input from citizens in order to help to make the police department better for everyone.
