The Atlanta Fulton Public Library Takes Over The Local Take

Ms. Terracota Sugarbaker Reads for Storytime

The Local Take is taken over by The Atlanta Fulton Public Library.  We are joined by Claudia Strange and Rachel Daniels.

We discussed the Drag Queen Story time which was a huge success with parents and children. They also told us about the Mobile Book Bike which cycles to branches to share books, STEM experiments and all kinds of activities for children and young people.  You can contact the library to arrange for the Mobile Book Bike for your activity.

Claudia Strange also discussed the upcoming community meetings to discuss the on-going renovations.  These meetings are for the community to discuss the activities that they would like to see at their neighborhood branch.

The ladies discussed the Black History Month activities from the Central Library to the branches.  The events include an African American Genealogy workshop to Storytime for Children.  More information on the activities can be found on the their website

They also reminded us that Read Across America and Teen Tech Week are coming up in the next few months.  The library offers access to coding classes and 3-D Printers computing.

Don't forget the virtual Book Club you can join on the Atlanta Fulton Public Library Facebook page. The third book will be introduced in the next few days.
