The Local Take Talks "The Eve Of Jackie Wilson" with Chester Gregory

Chester Gregory brings Jackie Wilson to life in his upcoming production The Eve of Jackie

Saturday on The Local Take on WCLK  I spoke with Broadway star Chester Gregory about his one-man show "The Eve of Jackie Wilson" and how it relates to Metro-Atlanta. Chester Gregory proclaims that Jackie Wilson(known as "Mr. Entertainment" at the height of his career) is one of the most influential Rock-n-Roll artist of the 20th Century.  "The Eve of Jackie Wilson" brings to life his last concert that took place in September of 1975. This was to be a "comeback" tour for Jackie Wilson.

From Michael Jackson to Elvis Presley, to contemporary artists,  the Jackie Wilson influence can be seen and heard till this day.

I ask Chester Gregory about the songs performed in this tribute.  He also explains that Jackie Wilson's family will be at the productions being held in Atlanta on August 3rd and 4th at Marietta's New Theatre in the Square.
